• Onsite at the client location 3 days per week during the initial 2-month discovery and planning phase

About the Project
We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a strategic Application Modernization and Database Migration program for a leading global energy company. The initial phase includes modernization of 11+ enterprise applications, with significant potential for future project expansion.
The successful candidate will work closely with client stakeholders, technical teams, and business representatives to define modernization strategies, cloud architectures, and migration roadmaps while ensuring high-quality solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead solution architecture and technical design for application modernization initiatives.
• Define target-state architectures using modern cloud-native design principles.
• Design scalable microservices, APIs, and enterprise integration solutions.
• Assess existing applications and develop modernization and migration strategies.
• Drive database migration initiatives involving Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and cloud-native database services.
• Design and implement cloud solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
• Define containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automation, observability, and DevSecOps practices.
• Ensure solution performance, scalability, resilience, and security.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor development teams and conduct architecture and code reviews.
• Support Agile delivery, release planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
