Lead Software Engineer

Nasze wymagania:
Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems or equivalent
Backend application development experience - Java/Scala
Solid knowledge of programming practices, strive to write great code that is reusable, flexible, and reliable
Proven ability to tech lead and mentor engineering teams (4–8 engineers)
Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and a strong team player with an agile mindset
A strong quality mindset is considered a must: unit testing, performance testing, writing testable code
Infrastructure experience: Maven/SBT, GIT/GERRIT, Apache Spark, AWS, Linux Environment
Very good communication skills in English both written and spoken

Mile widziane:
Working with map data eg. NDS, GIS, RDF, GDF
Working with data transformation scripting / ETL
Experience with schema-driven development (e.g., Zserio, Protobuf, FlatBuffers, or similar serialization frameworks)
Hands-on experience with Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process assessment model

As a founding member of the NDS Association, HERE is a pioneer in developing the Navigation Data Standard (NDS) and NDS.Live the industry standard formats for automotive map data used in navigation, ADAS, and highly automated driving systems.

Our team delivers digital maps in NDS formats to our automotive customers where the data is going straight into cars to power autonomous driving use cases.
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to own and evolve our Java-based NDS/NDS.Live compiler toolchains and validation frameworks. This role sits at the intersection of map data technology and tier-1 automotive partnerships you'll build the systems that ensure our map products meet the highest quality bar for the world's largest OEMs and system integrators.
The existing development team is located in Poland with a leadership in Germany.

Develop software that is well-crafted & steadily adds business value, as part of a community of professionals
Engage with internal and external customers for requirements, change requests, and incidents to help define application specifications
Own one or more components of software architecture in the immediate environment
Lead an agile team, share knowledge, pro-active communication
Drive and improve engineering best practices (e.g. agile, coding, verification)
Define complex, cross-subsystem/product designs to be implemented by the team
Define the technical vision and roadmap for the compiler and validation stack
Make key technical decisions on performance, scalability, and correctness of the compilation pipeline
Mentor and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence
