Senior Python Backend Developer – Generative AI Data Integration

Kraków-based opportunity with a hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days per week).As a Senior Python Backend Developer – Generative AI Data Integration, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution committed to delivering cutting-edge Generative AI experiences. The team focuses on expanding data integration capabilities to unlock new insights, enhance decision-making, and create innovative, efficient solutions that impact global financial operations. Your main responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain scalable microservices leveraging Python and FastAPI to support Generative AI data workflows.
• Design and implement efficient data transfer pipelines sourcing data from various systems for AI models.
• Build agents that interact with diverse data sources, ensuring seamless integration with GenAI solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data architecture and pipelines in cloud environments.
• Ensure robust data security, governance, and compliance in all integrations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of data solutions within the AI ecosystem.
• Maintain documentation and support hands-on testing and deployment procedures.

You're ideal for this role if you have:
• At least 5 years of experience in Python backend development within complex data-driven environments.
• Strong expertise with FastAPI framework and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and GCP BigQuery.
• Knowledge of Vector stores, Hadoop, and Starburst (Data Virtualization).
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Azure Cloud.
• Familiarity with Google ADK, Memory stores, RAGs, Context Engineering, and Evaluation systems.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)
• Certifications or experience in AI/ML systems.
• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards pertinent to financial services.
Language Required for the role:
• Good command of English – communicative level required.
