Due to continued growth, we are hiring an experienced AVEVA PI Developer with strong experience working with operational and asset data, together with an understanding of data integration, transformation and requirements gathering.
 
The successful candidate will work across technical, operational and business teams to develop PI-based solutions and support the integration, transformation and validation of asset and operational data across enterprise systems. You will be hands-on technically, while also working with stakeholders to understand requirements, identify data issues and translate business needs into effective and maintainable data solutions.
 
Experience with FME or other ETL/data integration technologies would be highly desirable.

 

Key Responsibilities:
 
• Develop and maintain solutions using AVEVA PI System.
• Configure and develop PI Asset Framework (AF) structures, templates and attributes.
• Develop PI Analytics and calculations to support operational and asset insights.
• Develop and maintain PI Vision dashboards and visualisations.
• Design and develop data integration and transformation processes across source and target systems.
• Perform data mapping, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Analyse operational and asset data and identify data quality, structural and integration issues.
• Work with technical, operational and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Support integration, testing, UAT, deployment and ongoing enhancement.
• Work with APIs and enterprise systems to support data integration.
• Produce clear technical documentation covering solutions, data flows, mappings and integrations.
 
 

Requirements:

 
• 3+ years' hands-on AVEVA PI experience.
• Strong experience with PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Analytics and PI Vision.
• Strong understanding of operational, asset or time-series data.
• Strong SQL and data manipulation skills.
• Experience with data mapping, transformation and validation.
• Experience with data integration / ETL concepts.
• Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 
 

Desirable experience:
 
• Hands-on experience with FME (Safe Software) or another established ETL/data integration platform.
• Experience with APIs and system integration.
• Experience with GIS / spatial data.
• Experience integrating asset, operational, engineering or enterprise data.
• Experience with automated data pipelines and scheduled processing.
• Experience in utilities, water, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing or another asset-intensive environment.
• Experience with Agile delivery and UAT.
