We're looking for an experienced GIS Analyst who will provide Cartography, Geospatial and geo intelligence analyses.
This time you have the chance to be part of a project related to the development, consulting and support of IT systems for Frontex. The European Border and Coast Guard Agency supports EU Member States and Schengen-associated countries in the management of the EU's external borders and the fight against cross-border crime.
Our expectations
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in similar position (GIS area)
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS software and analysis tools.
• Expert in using Esri ArcGIS Pro version 3.0 or higher,
• Expert in using 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, and network analyst.
• Working knowledge of SQL Language and mod
• Expertise in designing and producing digital maps with geographic data.
• Expertise in collecting, maintaining and update geodata, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Experience in analyzing, discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data.
• Producing maps showing spatial distribution from various source of information.
• Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level (certification is an advantage).
• Readiness to work from the client's office (Warsaw) occasionally – at least 5 times per month
Personal Security Clearance - Is required (security screening proc. must be initiated within first 45 days of assignment)
Main responsibilities
• Support Frontex business units with Geospatial related daily tasks within accepted deadlines
• Creation and implementation of map templates based on stakeholders’ inputs
• Map and cartographic products design and implementation.
• Creation and validation of geospatial data by means of geographic workflow process and tools.
• Creation of geo-tools based on model builder or other technology
• Geospatial analysis and data integration
• Definition and design of geographic dictionaries and taxonomies
• Collection and maintenance of geodata.
• Draft reports and documentation.
• Advise in best practices, processes, and procedures
• Participation in meetings with the project teams.
