Summary
The main function of the L3 Engineer role is to manage and support Google Workspace administration with knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring optimal productivity and user satisfaction across cloud-based services.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for advanced Google Workspace administration, including user and group management, security configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Provide L3 support for escalated issues related to Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, etc.).
• Assist with the integration and coexistence of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Support Microsoft 365 administration tasks as needed, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, compliance policies, and data loss prevention measures across both platforms.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute migrations, upgrades, and new feature rollouts.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Train and mentor L1/L2 support staff on Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 operations.
• Monitor system performance, usage, and security alerts, responding proactively to potential issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.
Must Haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Google Workspace in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, with exposure to Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with identity and access management, SSO, and security controls.
• Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Google Apps Script) is a plus.
