Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and optimize scalable, high-performance data pipelines using Python, with additional support for Go and Java-based solutions
• Build and maintain real-time data processing systems to support business-critical workloads
• Manage cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code practices, leveraging Terraform and reusable modular components
• Define, implement, and continuously improve testing frameworks, including unit and integration testing with Pytest
• Ensure system reliability and observability using monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Cloud Logging
• Manage access control and data security within Google Cloud Platform environments, with a focus on IAM best practices
• Provide ongoing platform maintenance and operational support as part of day-to-day business activities
• Participate in a rotating support model that includes:• Daytime operational support (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM),
• 24/7 on-call coverage for critical incidents,
• Dedicated development periods outside support rotations
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams while actively contributing to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Drive continuous improvement by enhancing internal tools, frameworks, and reusable platform components
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Python development
• Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform services, including:• Compute Engine (GCE),
• Kubernetes Engine (GKE),
• Pub/Sub,
• BigQuery,
• Dataflow,
• Cloud Functions
• Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
• Good understanding of event-driven and distributed system architectures
• Demonstrated experience designing and building data pipelines
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
• Experience implementing automated testing strategies, including integration testing and Pytest
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Cloud Build and GitHub Actions
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Working knowledge of Go and/or Java
• Experience with Databricks
• Familiarity with Dataform and data transformation workflows in BigQuery
• Experience with Google App Engine
