Be in IT is a recruitment company, specialised in sourcing Specialists from the information technology world. Currently, for our client, we are looking for someone in the position Senior GCP Data Engineer.
Your duties:
• Acting as a key guide for strategic customers in leveraging Google Cloud Platform for their data needs.
• Providing expertise across the entire data lifecycle: ingestion, storage, processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Key involvement in data migration and transformation projects, specifically overseeing the migration from the Snowflake environment to BigQuery.
• Designing and implementing large-scale, scalable data processing systems and pipelines (both streaming and batch).
• Supporting Google Cloud product implementations in close collaboration with the existing engineering team.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance data pipelines (streaming and batch).
• Proven track record of building and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable data lakes and data warehouses on the Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in designing enterprise-grade cloud solutions and successfully leading customer projects.
• Expert knowledge and proficiency in BigQuery and Snowflake.
• Experience in automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Holding a Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Willingness to travel within the EU/Germany (approx. 1-2 times every two months).
• English language proficiency at the B2 or C1 level, enabling fluent communication in an international environment.
• Immediate availability (ASAP) is highly preferred; a maximum of a one-month notice period, effective at the end of the month, is acceptable.
Nice to have:
• Ability to fluently communicate and work in German.
• Experience in a technical consulting role.
• Advanced skills in SQL query optimization and tuning for performance and cost reduction.
• Experience in architecting and developing production-grade, internet-scale Big Data solutions utilizing public cloud managed services.
• Knowledge of Ab Initio technology.
Offer:
• Long-term cooperation with a salary in the range of 40 - 45 EUR net/hour + VAT.
• Support in setting up and running a B2B business (sole proprietorship) for individuals without such experience.
• Efficient and fast recruitment process - one, maximum two technical online interviews with managers (up to one hour each).
• Working hours between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with slight flexibility possible.

Fully remote cooperation except for business travel within the EU/Germany (approx. 1-2 times every two months).
