User Validation Tester / Platform Configurator
The team is shifting from feature development to deployment and market activation (customer success model).
• Core Duty: Configurate the platform based on each market's needs.
• Customization to markets and customer onboarding.
• Prepare and share UVT environments and access with markets.
• Provide clear UVT guidelines, test scenarios, and validation checklists.
• Act as the primary point of contact during the UVT window.
• Triage reported issues and raise correction tickets if applicable.
• Proactively flag risks to go-live due to pending validations or unresolved blockers.
It’s a role that validates everything, acts as a bridge with the markets, and gives the go-ahead for the go-live. It’s almost like a functional QA role, with the difference that it doesn’t execute the tests. Instead, it mainly produces reports and works closely with the teams to ensure everything is functioning properly.
Example: We are going to launch this product. Before the launch, I share a usage document for the product and ask teams to use it and provide feedback on any difficulties, bugs, or issues they encounter.
After receiving this feedback, a new report is created and shared with the teams. They address the necessary improvements, the process is repeated, and once everything is validated and working as expected, the product moves to go-live.
