About the role
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a project focused on the automation and implementation of Disaster Recovery (DR) environments for critical applications.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining automated DR deployment processes, developing Infrastructure as Code, and ensuring consistent and reliable configuration of Microsoft-based infrastructure in Azure environments.
This is a hands-on position for someone who combines strong expertise in Azure, Infrastructure as Code, PowerShell, Windows Server administration, and automation with practical experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions.
Requirements:
• 4+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Automation, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Solid practical experience with Terraform and Azure Bicep.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
• Professional experience with Windows Server, IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Good understanding of Azure networking and security concepts, including:• DNS,
• Network Security Groups (NSGs),
• Load Balancers,
• connectivity,
• security configuration.
• Previous experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) and/or Business Continuity solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
Nice to have:
• Experience working with enterprise-scale Microsoft environments.
• Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure and on-premises/cloud environments.
• Knowledge of High Availability, Business Continuity, and infrastructure resilience concepts.
Responsibilities:
• Build, maintain, and improve automated CI/CD pipelines for Disaster Recovery environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure Bicep.
• Automate Windows Server configuration, deployments, patching, and system management.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and PowerShell DSC to ensure consistent server configurations.
• Configure and support Azure networking, DNS, security, and connectivity required for DR solutions.
• Collaborate with application and architecture teams to define, design, and implement DR requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and automation issues.
• Ensure consistency, repeatability, and reliability of infrastructure deployments through automation.
