Tech Lead (Java + Angular)

We develop and support a global software platform covering the corporate credit chain process for corporate clients and large institutions. The system is used internally in 50 countries and supports initiatives related to Net-Zero Banking Alliance and ESG programs. Our teams work in Scrum, with monthly deployments to production environments worldwide. The project is focused on platform development rather than maintenance, with distributed teams across France, India, and Poland. We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead Java + Angular
who combines strong back-end expertise with technical leadership, ownership, and strategic thinking. The main focus is back-end development and architecture, but the role also requires the ability to collaborate effectively with front-end engineers and discuss Angular-based solutions.

Wymagania:
- 7+ years of experience in software development, preferably in enterprise-scale systems. 
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Developer, Technical Leader, or senior engineer with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in Java 8/17 and Spring Boot. 
- Solid understanding of system design, architecture, distributed systems, and microservices.
- Strong ownership mindset and accountability for technical outcomes.
- Ability to make and justify technical decisions aligned with business and long-term platform goals.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and supporting developers in solving complex challenges.
- Good understanding of front-end development, especially Angular 15, TypeScript, Nx, micro front-end, and NgRx. 
- Ability to communicate effectively with front-end engineers and participate in FE-related technical discussions.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices: Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, Kubernetes, ELK, CI/CD.
- Strong focus on code quality, testing, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
- Strong analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
- Fluency in English.

 

Nice to have:

- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Liquibase, Maven, Jest, IBM MQ, Swagger/OpenAPI, Feign, vavr.
- Experience with Hibernate and event-driven architectures.
- Banking, financial services, ESG, risk, compliance, or corporate credit platform experience.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise platforms and distributed international teams.

Codzienne zadania:
- Provide technical leadership for a cross-functional engineering team.
- Take ownership of back-end solutions, architecture, and technical decisions.
- Lead development of scalable and maintainable services using Java 8/17 and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, BAs, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Support technical discussions with Angular/front-end developers. 
- Promote engineering best practices, clean code, testing, and maintainable architecture.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor developers.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and improvement areas.
- Contribute to planning, estimations, roadmap discussions, and status reporting.
- Balance hands-on development with technical guidance and strategic decision-making.
