StockSaver is the hungarian branch of JLI Trading Limited, which is the technology-led company behind Jobalots.com and BargainFox.com, two of Europe’s fastest-growing e-commerce platforms. With millions of monthly users, we’re expanding our Budapest tech team to support ongoing growth, innovation, and platform scaling, which means developing further our existing platforms and creating new, green-field e-commerce platforms as well.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a mid-level Full-Stack Engineer with experience in Laravel (PHP) or similar backend technology and experience in React to join our core platform team. You’ll work on high-performance, production-grade systems, directly supporting e-commerce features such as checkout, payments, product catalogues, and customer account flows.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-traffic environments, has a strong grasp of back-end architecture and optimisation, takes pride in clean, testable code, and is not afraid to try out new technologies.

Our team is relatively small and new, therefore you’ll have a huge impact on the way of work and team’s culture, while you will also provide a lot of impact to the products we’re developing. Therefore, we’re looking for someone who likes to take on big ownership and responsibility.

Working Hours and Location

Wymagania:
Must-Have Skills

- 3+ years of professional full stack development experience, comfortable owning features end-to-end- Strong experience with PHP or other backend technology - building and maintaining production APIs and services- Solid TypeScript/JavaScript with React, ideally Next.js, for building responsive, performant frontends- Proficiency with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc.) - schema design, query optimisation, migrations- Practical experience with RESTful API design and integration- Ability to optimise and scale systems for high-traffic environments.- Solid understanding of unit testing, test-driven development, and legacy code refactoring.- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and diagnostics tools.- Git-based workflows and collaborative code review (feature branches, PRs)- Ability to work in an agile team, break down tickets, and communicate clearly in English

Nice-to-Have Skills

- AWS experience, especially containerised deployments- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)- E-commerce or marketplace domain experience (auctions, payments, high-traffic catalogues)- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code) as part of the workflow- Experience with analytics/tracking instrumentation (GA4, server-side tagging)- Familiarity with feature flags and trunk-based/staged rollout practices

Codzienne zadania:
- Participate in the development of both our backend and frontends, owning features end-to-end
- Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
- Implement user interfaces that align with design specifications and deliver excellent user experience
- Own features end-to-end, working across the full technology stack
- Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve application issues
- Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
