Currently, for one of our Partners, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Project Manager (m/f/n) to support a long‑term project delivered for an organization of the European Commission based in Brussels.
Tasks:
• Manage the implementation of projects to meet identified business needs, acquiring and using the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
• Work closely with the project’s Business Manager (BM) on business justification, project definition, and Business Implementation.
• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, and risk management.
• Guide the team in charge of project activities and review their deliverables.
• Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings.
• Estimate costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed terms of reference.
• Prepare and maintain project and quality plans and tracks activities against the plan and provide regular and accurate reports.
• Monitor costs, timescales and resources used. Act where these deviate from agreed tolerances. Ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria.
• Manage the change control procedure gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project sponsors.
• Provide effective leadership for the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and constantly developing their skills and experience.
• Manage all project stakeholders through a structured communication plan, stakeholder mapping, and regular status reporting aligned to governance cadence.
• Draft legal agreements related to IT services and projects.
• Provide estimations of effort and costs based on business cases before reaching project phase.
Requirements:
• Education: EQF7 in IT, Engineering or Mathematics.
• At least, 15 years of experience in project management.
• At least 10 years of experience in stakeholders management for cross-border complex environments.
• At least 5 years of experience in support policy discussions to ensure IT compliance.
• At least 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence – related projects.
• At least one year of experience in the reuse of EU digital infrastructures and in the assessment of synergies at EU policy level.
• At least 10 years of experience with recognised project management methodologies, such as PM2 and PMBOK. At least 15 years of experience in planning and financial practices such as project scheduling, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance tracking.
• At least 5 years of experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum Management and Lean Agile.
• At least 10 years of experience with project management software such as JIRA and Microsoft Project.
• At least 10 years of experience with collaboration platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint.
• At least 2 years of experience with database management systems and data modelling.
• At least 2 years of experience with programming languages: at least such as Java and JavaScript.
• Excellent knowledge of English (minimum level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR), with strong written and oral communication skills.
Certificates:
• One of the following or an equivalent certification: PM², Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2.
• Certification on service management methodologies, such as ITIL (level foundation or higher) or similar.
Offer:
• B2B contract
• Mostly remote set-up. Services must be performed from within the EU. Two physical meetings with the customer are foreseen per 12-month period, max 2 days each. These planned meetings are at the contractor’s cost.
• Rate: 450-540 EUR/MD
